NorCal Open
August 16, 2003
The NorCal GOLO Open began this weekend at Santa Clara G&T in Santa Clara, California. For the next 12 weeks GOLO is hosting demo days at over 18 clubs in Northern California searching for the best GOLO golf dice gamers as well as educating many new golfers how to score in the game of golf. Junior golfers dominated the field. Pictured to the right are the Ban brothers who are reacting to a hole in one!
The winner of the event was two-and-a-half-year-old Jakey Obershaw, who shot the low round of the day of 61 and is the youngest GOLO Champion ever! Contestants at SCG&T never suspected a thing when this young lad sat down to play his first round of GOLO. Jakey shot 31 on the front nine, then finished the back nine with eagle, birdie, birdie to shoot a six-under-par 30. On the 14th hole, when Jakey was asked if he wanted down to see his mommy, he replied confidently (as most champions do) "I want to finish my game!"
