Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic
In just 11 years The Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic has donated close to 11 million dollars to The V Foundation for Cancer Research. Those dollars represent over 150 research grants, at scientific and medical facilities nationwide, that will someday lead to finding a cure for cancer. In 2004 Jimmy V hosted the 1st Annual Jimmy V GOLO Championships, a four round tournament held during the Friday casino night party. This year over 200 celebrities and contestants played GOLO and in the end, first place went to Richard Holloman 255 (33 Under Par). Second place went to Owen Reed of Jillian’s Entertainment , shooting 264 (24 Under Par). View Pictures here. The game was also sold for profit at their store benefiting the foundation. The Plantations Junior Golf Tour (PJGT)
With 124 events in 25 states, the PJGT is the nation's foremost fall-winter-spring junior golf tour. They use GOLO as a tournament prize, they sell GOLO for profit, and use the game insurance for rain/front delays. They are also hosting next year the first annual PJGT GOLO Championship as one of the evening events during their 5 day cruise to the Bahamas. GOLO is also a proud sponsor of The Junior Scottish Links Cup in Carlyle, Illinois at Governor’s Run Golf Club. This event is part of the Major Series of the PJGT presented by Nature Valley Granola Bar.
The Optimist International Junior Golf Championships (OIAGC)
This is one of the largest and most prestigious junior golf events in the world. Each year, more than 750 junior golfers from 30 countries participate in The Optimist. Every year at this event they host the GOLO Optimist Championship. Click here to see photos of the event.
The First Tee
The First Tee’s mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and educational programs that promote character-development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf. The First Tee used GOLO in the inaugural First Tee Open at Pebble Beach Presented by Wal-Mart in October 2004, a senior PGA tour event designed to get junior golfers and the veteran tour players together for the first time. Pebble Beach Golf Links
Pebble Beach, the most famous golf facility in the world, was ranked the No. 1 golf resort in America by Golf Digest Magazine in 2002. This year GOLO is proud to announce that it is partnering with Pebble Beach Company to bring you a special edition Pebble Beach GOLO Golf Game, which will be sold exclusively at Pebble Beach Golf Resorts. The game is a linen bound book that opens to a leatherette dice board. The game comes complete with a Pebble Beach Cup, Travel Bag, Dice, Scorecards, and Rules. International Network of Golf (ING)
ING is a broad-based, non-profit business and media organization that, since 1990, brings GOLF Media members and Business members together to help establish new relationships and nourish existing ones. Each year the ING hosts the ING Conference at a designated resort location in America. This year they held the Second Annual ING GOLO TACKY JACKET CHAMPIONSHIPS, where they host an evening 4 round GOLO tournament and reward the Tacky Jacket and Championship Check to the winner. Rick Smith Golf Institute
The Rick Smith Institute in Denver Colorado started using GOLO over a year ago in their corporate classes. David Schaack, the President & Founder of The Rick Smith Golf Institute, "We used the game as both a prize and a thank you to over 500 students last year. We begin every school with an 18 hole round of GOLO. It is an icebreaker and a quick way get the group bonded. GOLO is a great tool for getting the golfers in the mood of golf!"
National Junior Golf Club (NJGC)
The NJGC is the largest Junior Tour in the Southeast, specifically Charlotte, Triad Area, Raleigh, and Charleston, SC. The NJGC is committed to providing affordable and competitive junior golf tournaments, which are easily accessible for Club members throughout the year; Spring, Summer, and Fall.
